Now in its fourth year, Christmas Trees in Waquoit will offer fresh-cut trees, wreaths and garlands for sale on its charity tree lot starting Friday, Dec. 4.
The Waquoit Congregational Church is partnering with five local nonprofit service organizations whose volunteers work the lot selling trees. All profits are donated by the church to these organizations. The lot will be open
Fridays, Dec. 4, 11, 18 – 3-5 pm
Saturdays, Dec. 5, 12, 19 – 9 am-6 pm
Sundays, Dec. 6, 13, 20 – 9 am-5 pm
The partner organizations include the Boys & Girls Club of Cape Cod in Mashpee; WellStrong, an innovative recovery program; the East Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization; Falmouth Junior Girl Scout Troop 62754; and Belonging to Each Other, a program helping Falmouth’s homeless with housing and needed resources.
The charity tree lot also will offer a number of family-friendly holiday activities each Saturday from 10 AM to noon, including strolling carolers, a living crèche with small farm animals; and photos with Santa Claus from 1 to 3 PM.
Additionally, the church’s Christmas in Waquoit bazaar featuring decorations, crafts and baked goods will be held Friday, Dec. 4, from 3 to 6 PM; and Saturday, Dec. 5, from 9 AM to 2 PM.
“Our community outreach through the Christmas tree sales has grown and is truly amazing,” Waquoit Congregational Church minister, the Reverend Nell Fields, said. “We provide Christmas family entertainment and fresh trees and wreaths. Our mission is to provide Falmouth and surrounding communities with an opportunity to come together over the holidays while supporting these worthy service organizations.”
All are welcome to attend the Christmas in Waquoit events. COVID-19 safety protocols will be observed. Masks and social distancing are required, even outdoors during tree sales.
