Troy Clarkson, writer, newspaper columnist, and master storyteller will be the guest speaker at the 10 a.m. service on Sunday, May 16, at the Waquoit Congregational Church, located on Parsons Lane and Route 28 in E. Falmouth. The service will be held outside on the lawn in keeping with current Covid protocols. It will also be broadcast live on Facebook, YouTube, Zoom, and the church’s website, www.waquoitucc.org
Clarkson, who serves as CFO for Brockton, will speak about personal challenges that strengthened and deepened his faith. His story is one of fear, courage, strength, and redemption. “Resurrection means full unconditional love and acceptances without the “excepts.” he said.
Clarkson is a columnist for the Falmouth Enterprise. His book, Out of the Woods, was published in 2017. He joins other guest speakers at the Waquoit Church during Eastertide, a 50-day season that focus on Jesus’ resurrection.
“We are excited to have Troy share his story of the resurrection life,” said The Rev. Nell Fields, minister of the Waquoit Church. “Troy is a person of deep faith, and an inspiration to so many of us. We look forward to his inspiration message.”
The public is invited to attend the service which will be held outside on the lawn. Bring a lawn chair. For more information, contact Rev. Nell Fields at 508-548-5269.
