Cape Cod Crèche Society Brings Nativity Sets to Waquoit Church
In their first event in 10 years, members of the Cape Cod Crèche Society will display over 100 nativity sets at the Waquoit Congregational Church on Sunday, Dec. 19, 11 am – 4 pm. The event is free and opened to all. Selected nativity sets and ornaments will be available for purchase.
Crèches range from small to large, some having dozens of pieces. They come from all over the world and are made from various materials. Cape Cod Crèche Society members will be available to answer questions and explain the meaning and history of the different crèches to the public.
“Nativity scenes are so much part of the Christmas holiday. We are thrilled we are finally able to share these beautiful crèches with the public,” said Barbara Pratt, Crèche Society member who is organizing the event. “Children especially love the displays because most are small.”
Masks are required for all indoor activities.
