Food For Ukraine Fundraiser March 15 at Moto Pizza

Moto Pizza and the Waquoit Congregational Church have partnered to help feed Ukrainian refugees by creating Food for Ukraine, a fundraiser event at Moto Pizza in Waquoit.

The kickoff is Tuesday, March 15, from 4 to 8 PM, when 20 percent of all sales will be donated to relief efforts. Moto also will unveil its Ukrainian-inspired pizza. Waquoit Church will distribute free packets of sunflower seeds, the national flower of Ukraine, and blue and yellow ribbons, the colors of the Ukrainian flag. The church will have information on other ways to help Ukrainian refugees.

“We really wanted to do something to help our sisters and brothers in Ukraine,” said Dante DelGrosso, Moto’s owner. “We know it’s difficult to get direct help to them in Ukraine, so we created this fundraiser to help Ukrainians crossing the border into other countries.”

“We’ve been standing out in support of Ukraine for the past several weeks, and we want to continue that support in any way we can,” said Diane Shaw of the Waquoit Church.

Moto Pizza is located at 500 Waquoit Highway, East Falmouth. For more information, contact Dante DelGrosso at Moto Pizza or Diane Shaw at the Waquoit church at 508-548-5269.
