Seminary Dean to Speak at Waquoit Church July 10

Dr. Sarah B. Drummond, dean at Andover Newton Seminary at Yale Divinity School, will speak during the morning worship service at Waquoit Congregational Church on Sunday, July 10, at 10 am.

Dr. Drummond is lead administrator for a professional school for congregational ministry within a world-class ecumenical Divinity School. She teaches and writes about leadership and serves as combination advisor/minister/mentor to ministers in-formation.

“Dr. Drummond is a thought-leader on theological education and leadership. We are honored to have speak during our Sunday service,” said the Rev. Nell Fields, minister of the Waquoit church. “If you want some insight on the future of the church in the United States, look to Dr. Drummond and her work at ANS at Yale.”

A native of Connecticut, Dr. Drummond earned her PhD in Urban Education at the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee with a specialization in administrative leadership. She is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ. Sarah earned her Master of Divinity from Harvard Divinity School, where she also served on the staff of Memorial Church in Harvard Yard.  Her Bachelor of Arts degree comes from Yale College, where she majored in Ethics, Politics, and Economics. She is the author of five books on ministerial leadership.  

Following worship services, there will be a reception for Dr. Drummond. Everyone is invited to attend.

The Waquoit Congretional Church is located at 15 Parsons Lane in E. Falmouth.
