Independence House Discusses Children’s Safety Tuesday, Jan. 24 – 6:30 pm

With the ease of access to social media and the Internet, how can we keep our youth safe from dangerous websites? How can we keep our youth safe from bullying? How can organization create safe places for youth? Chris Morin, director of prevention, education, and outreach at Independence House, leads a presentation on Tuesday, Jan. 24 at 6:30 pm at the Waquoit Congregational Church to discuss these issues. Parents, grandparents, and any organization that works with youth is invited to participate in this important and honest conversation.

In addition to discussing social media, Ms. Morin will offer practical guidelines and policies for creating and keeping safe spaces for youth.

Independence House is Cape Cod’s leading resource, counseling and advocacy center to address and prevent domestic and sexual violence.

This program is free, and is sponsored by the Waquoit Congregational Church, the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Falmouth, and the North Falmouth Congregational Church.
