WCC Brings Award-winning American Chinese Chorus to Falmouth – May 4

The Waquoit Congregational Church presents the “Bridge to Harmony” concert in
which the award-winning American Chinese chorus, the Boston Eastern Heritage Chorus including
Falmouth resident Stephen M. McIntosh, will bridge cultures through music as they blend
traditional Chinese and Western folk songs at Falmouth’s John Wesley Methodist Church on May
4, 2024, at 3 pm.
Boston’s most renowned American Chinese chorus since 2000, the Boston Eastern Heritage
Chorus has placed first and second in international choral competitions including the World Choir
Games in Xiamen, China; the World Choral Competition in Laval, Montreal; and the World Chorus
Festival for Adults and Seniors in Vienna.
Based in Newton, the Boston Eastern Heritage chorus has drawn Boston area singers from a
variety of backgrounds and professions—science, writing, business, healthcare, education and
more—who share a love of Chinese folk music and a dedication to showcasing Chinese
performing arts.
Ms. Guo Ling, Chorus Director, said, “We practice passionately to ensure we perform choral music
beautifully worldwide. We are very excited about crossing the bridge to share our music and our
passion with our Cape neighbors!”
Reverend Nell Fields, Waquoit Congregational Church Pastor and concert organizer, added, “It’s
all about expanding our appreciation of cultural differences and this concert will absolutely do
that in the most beautiful way…through song.”
Admission is free with donations gratefully accepted. Sponsored by Falmouth nonprofits: Waquoit
